New COVID-19 restrictions are being introduced from Thursday 5th November which means that we will be going back in to a national lockdown for at least a four week period up to Wednesday 2 December.

In line with government guidance, we are suspending volunteering in Medway greenspaces during this time and request that all group activities or events organised by Friends or volunteers are postponed until further notice.

Sadly there will be bulb and tree planting days that will have to be postponed but we can work together remotely to make plans to hopefully carry out these activities in the new year.  Many groups found new ways of working during the last lockdown and I would encourage everyone to continue with these and keep in touch during these difficult times.

We also hope you will continue to use our greenspaces for exercise and to get fresh air where possible whilst maintaining social distancing.

Please do continue to share your pictures on the MUGs Facebook or Instagram pages and also send your volunteering stories to the MUGs Forum “Spotlight on ….” page and we will turn them into amazing posters for you.
