We are all very busy looking after our greenspaces now, but a look back at how some of them came to be is very interesting indeed.

There is an informal ‘drop-in’ session at Medway Archives Centre (MAC) on Saturday 5 August, from 10am to noon.  It focuses on the history of parks and gardens in the area and offers an opportunity for people to chat with staff and volunteers and to look at some of the extensive resources on the subject available at MAC.

These drop-in sessions are very much a two-way thing, with visitors often bringing information of their own and, in doing so, adding to our knowledge of our history.

For more information please click here to email Medway Archives Centre direct or call them on 01634 332174.
