Horsted Valley is a strip of green space that runs from Luton Village, in a South Western direction to the Davis Estate and Rochester Airport, and is sandwiched between Wayfield and Walderslade to the South East, and Rochester and Chatham to North West. It is one of the Medway Towns hidden gems, providing a vital green buffer between the surrounding urban areas and an important area for recreation and relaxation, and yet also providing a vital refuge and home for a wide variety of plants and animals.

These are opportunities for local residents and other stakeholders such as local businesses, Kent Wildlife Trust, the Friends of Horsted Valley and Councillors to come together. At these events people can share ideas for potential enhancements to the Valley in terms of management, access, walking and cycling, wildlife and interpretation.

The next public drop-in events are Saturday 21 September:

  • 10am to 12 noon at the Scout Hut, ME5 9UA
  • 2pm to 4pm at Fort Luton, ME4 5XL
