Welcome to I Spy October!

This is the time of year Autumn is in full swing and here is just small sample of what you can see.

At this time of year many animals are fuelling up for the winter months and the fruit and fungi you can see are essential to them!

Some butterflies are still on the wing like the Painted Lady and the Small White, while others are going to hibernation. You could find a guest even in your home!

Coming originally from south-east Asia, Box-tree moths are a real problem across the whole of Europe and as climate change has becomes worse they have now invaded this country as well. You can learn more about them through the Butterfly Conservation Trust – Box-tree moth (butterfly-conservation.org)
