Celebrate the great outdoors at an award-winning country park

Go wild this autumn at a free event being held in one of Medway’s award-winning country parks.

Have fun watching and taking part in rural crafts as well as visit stalls selling locally made products and food and drink.

Surrounded by 114 hectares of woodlands and green space, there will be lots of activities for all the family including kite flying, walking trails, bug hunts and craft activities. Visitors will also have the chance to meet the Capstone Alpacas.

Medway residents will also be able to find out more about recycling, the environment, wildlife, improving health and Climate Change from a range of organisations including Birdwise, Creatabot and Plastic Free Medway, along with Medway Council’s Climate Change, Public Health, Medway Adult Education, Stray Dogs team, Child-Friendly Medway and Environmental Engagement teams.

Wild About Capstone will take place between 11am and 3pm, on Sunday, 25 September at the southern end of Capstone Farm Country Park, next to the Orchard car park. Residents are also encouraged to use the main Capstone Farm car park, there will be a nature spotting trail leading up to the entrance for people to enjoy. Both car parks are free to use.
