The Medway Urban Greenspaces Forum has been asked by the Council to take part in a consultation for a new initiative call “Design Codes.”

Design Codes are a collection of design principles which help residents define what good development and high quality public streets and spaces look like in their area, including greenspaces. They make it clear to developers what the local community wants for their area and help to make a sustainable and healthy environment. Medway Council has chosen Chatham town centre, as a first trial, to develop these in detail and you have the opportunity to have your say on the consultation.

The consultation runs until the 31st December 2022 and your views will form part of the new Design Code policy for Chatham which will be published next year.
