The new Rochester Trail, which has been made possible with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, was officially opened in the Vines Gardens by the Mayor of Medway, Cllr Nina Gurung, on a bright and sunny November morning.

After cutting a the ribbon and declaring the Trail open, the Mayor, together with a group of visitors, walked the short route, taking local landmarks and greenspaces including Watts Meadow, Churchfields and the Esplanade, before returning to in the Vines Gardens.
